Maku Raises Alarm Over Alleged PVCs Buying In Nasarawa

National Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, has raised an alarm over alleged buying of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), in Nasarawa State. Nigerian Tribune reports.

“He alleged that some influential persons in government in the State were collecting information from PVCs especially from women under the guise of financial assistance.”

Said Maku: “They collect PVCs from these women and asked for their PVCs as collateral promising them a loan of N10, 000 only to copy information in it. Why will anyone only request for PVCs as collateral for a loan and no any other property?”

The former military ruler, President Ibrahim Babangida has declared his support for the Senate President Bukola Saraki as he runs for Presidency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Channels Television reports.

As a matter of fact, his actions are obviously targeted at weakening and destroying the party.”

NHGSFP To Feed 9.3 Million Pupils Across Nigeria This Week

Police Unseal PDP Secretariat In Anambra Following Peace Pledge By Warring Factions

The PDP secretariat in Anambra has been unsealed by the state’s police command, after the two factions of the party in the state resolved to be peaceful. NAIJ.com reports.

The secretariat had been shut on September 12, following a violent clash between the two factions.

“Meanwhile, the command’s spokesperson Haruna Mohammed stated that members of the factions had been advised to be peaceful, as anybody who ignited trouble would be dealt with in line with the law.”
