The lawmaker representing Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, has assured the people of Bayelsa that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Chief David Lyon and his running mate, Bishop Degi Eremienyo are humble and patriotic leaders who are willing and ready to serve the interest of the state. He also urged eligible voters in the state to vote the APC in the November 16 gubernatorial election.
Media Assistant to the federal lawmaker, Sam Dogotimi, made this known in a statement on Wednesday. He said Sunny-Goli while lamenting the high level of insecurity and relative poverty in Bayelsa state, believes that the Dickson-led government is insensitive to the plight of most of the people in the state and laments that the present administration is also bereft of workable ideas that can put the state on a fast lane of rapid development and economic prosperity.
According to him, “The Hon. Seriake Dickson-led government, with its unpopular and unyielding policies and programmes, has taken Bayelsa State backward, leading to the untold hardship and disenchantment amongst most Bayelsans.
“It is, however, Sunny-Goli’s firm conviction that Bayelsa will soon experience positive change, stressing that, APC is like never before committed to dislodging members of the self-styled restoration government from Creek Haven in order to change the narratives for good.
“I can assure you,” says Sunny-Goli, “that Chief David Lyon, when elected, will create the enabling environment for Bayelsans to move freely and carryout their respective businesses,” the statement read.
The lawmaker also lauded those porting from the PDP to the APC for taking the bold step to align themselves with the progressives, insisting that, it is a clear indication majority of Bayelsans are fed up with the “so-called restoration government.”
